Civic Honda Price

The Honda Civic is one of the bestselling automobiles in North America and has been since its introduction in 1973. It is currently the second oldest Japanese nameplate sold in North America. In addition to being an ultra-popular option with consumers, automotive critics continue to sing its praises. These positive reviews focus on comfort, which is often a problem in compacts, reliability, fuel performance, and ride quality. Due to an aggressive MSRP and competitive sale programs, consumers are unlikely to find a better option at the full-featured level in the affordable small car segment.

Honda Civic sale prices average approximately $15K at the low end, which encompasses the base DX Civic sedans and coupés. At the upper end, which includes the Civic EX, EX-L, and Si, the average Honda Civic sale price is approximately $23.5K. However, that number is much lower without the GX, Hybrid, and Si factored in. The Si is a sports-oriented Civic targeted at a niche market and full-featured versions carry a hefty price tag. The Honda Civic Hybrid is substantially more expensive than its traditional counterpart is. Likewise, the Honda Civic GX is an eco-friendly alternative designed to operate on compressed natural gas (CNG) and that configuration carries a premium.

Consumers seeking an affordable small car should also test-drive the Ford Fiesta, Honda Fit, and Hyundai Elantra. The Honda Fit, in particular, provides stiff competition to the base level Civic, the DX with or without the DX value package. With the base Fit, consumers receiver similar features, extra cargo space, and a sticker price that is generally $500 less. At the LX trim level and beyond, the Civic distinguishes itself from its peers. Consumers may be able to find a little more comfort here or little more utility there but they are unlikely to find the perfect blend that the Civic offers.
