Honda announced its first production dual-clutch transmission on the widely-anticipateVFR1200R. The sports bike has been made ground up for next year and features an all new V4 engine as well. The VFR 1200R is based on the V4 concept bike that was showcased at the Intermot Fair in 2008. Honda's dual-clutch transmission is same like the DCT's seen on cars. The bike was launched by the Shinji Aoyama, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle and Mr N.K. Rattan, Divisional Head, Marketing and Sales, at Mumbai in Honda Motorcycles at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Newly launched model based on Honda's CB 1000RR superbike. It will possible achieve quality and style departments. In Style department, this bike can very well put many other 150cc - 180cc bikes to conscience. The Honda CB Twister comes in three variants such as Kick-Drum, Self-Alloy and Self-Drum. Its Kick-Drum version will be available at a price of Rs. 42,000 in New Delhi. There will also available other variants prices at Rs. 51150, Rs. 44870 and Rs. 48000 (ex-showroom price, Mumbai) respectively.

Japan's based Auto maker, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India on Monday has rolled out its 110cc Honda CB Twister bike in Bangalore. The bike is available in three different models: Self-Disc-Alloy, Kick-Drum-Alloy and Self-Drum-Alloy with a price tag of Rs. 47,850, Rs. 41,850 and Rs. 47,850 (ex-showroom prices by New Delhi) respectively. Briefing reporters, N K Rattan, HMSI operating Head (Sales & Marketing) said the the bike could deliver mileage of 70 kmpl.

Honda CB Twister will be available in five different colours. The company official commented on the launch that CB Twister has copied the style ratio from Honda's super bike Honda CB1000RR and has come with sharp tail, unique grab rail design and short muffler. Honda CB Twister is magnified with features like maintenance-free battery, viscous air filter and Tubeless tyres etc. Currently, company has listed its new 110cc bike in entry level segment.

Recently HMSI has also upgraded its popular models variants in the both scooter and motorcycle segment, like Honda Dio and Honda CBF Stunner. The Stunner's variant self-Drum is priced at Rs. 52,076, and Self-Disc-Alloy is priced at Rs. 55,077 and Self-Disc-Alloy PGM-FI is priced at Rs.66,203(ex-showroom) respectively. While the new upgrade Honda Dio is priced at Rs. 38,244(ex-showroom).

The world's major bike manufacturer, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India(HMSI) has introduced its first mass segment 110cc bike, Honda CB Twister in Hyderabad. The 100 percent two-wheeler subsidiary of the Honda Motor company Ltd, announced on Monday. HMSI has also unveiled its upgraded models Honda CBF Stunner and Honda Dio.

These are most selling models in both motorcycle and scooter categories. Honda CB Stunner is priced in the range of Rs. 52,723 to Rs. 67,102 (ex-showroom). Honda believes to contribute to its developing volumes and raise its market share.

Honda CB Twister is featuring a 110cc engine, is being offered with price tags three variants : Kick Drum Alloy(Rs. 41,850), Self Drum Alloy(Rs. 47,850) and Self Disc Alloy(Rs. 44,850) respectivley. Andhra Pradesh remains a major hub for Honda motorcycles and scooter India.

It's contribution is about 14 percent in market. The company has communicated a big network with 25 dealers, 34 branches and sub-dealers in Andhra Pradesh. HSMI intends to sell 1,10,000 units this year. Honda's recently launched entry-level segment bike, CB Twister will be available in showrooms by the February end. The company is looking forward to sale 12.5 lakh bikes this fiscal and possibility to cross over 1.5 million mark by 2011. Honda Dio, an upgraded model is priced at Rs.35,645 (ex-showroom).

As per some news reports, the new model could be known as "Dazzler". New Honda Unicorn sports concept model was already displayed at the 10th Delhi Auto Expo 2010.

The new Dazzler model will be launched on May 08 2010. The new bike is expected to be increased of Rs. 10,000 more than the present Unicorn model. The major difference possible to see in New Honda Unicorn Sports model that it will have features front and rear disc breaks as against to earlier drum breaks featured among with a digital tachometer.

It will also be launched in the red & white colour combination in India. HMSI is believes that the new CB Dazzler will give a tough competition against the most selling bikes in their segment like Bajaj Pulsar, Yamaha R15 and TVS Apache in the Indian auto market. Besides, HMSI to catch a share of the market from more these popular bikes, which hold the maximum market stake.

These models have a large displacement of around 1,000 cc that allows them to accelerate quickly and control speed of up to 300 kmph, if road condition has permitted as per high-end bikes capacity. Prices of the superbikes are between Rs. 10 to 40 lacs in India. After launching these bikes, Suzuki Motor and Honda Motor sold five and six units a month.

But sales have now picked up to an average 15 units a month, that means, the superbikes demand is growing well in India. Suzuki Motor is also planning to launch the GSX R100 superbike in India by the end of this year. According to a Suzuki dealer, " Suzuki Intruder and Suzuki Hayabusa have seen very high demand.
